OUR PAIR'S

My Breeding Pair's

Wilson's Carolina Coop has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I have constantly strived to get healthy and beautiful birds. This past year I have worked on getting my blood lines, color pens, and breeding pairs together. I am a member of the APA and the ABA, I am also working on getting my NPIP.  We want to be able to offer beautiful and healthy birds. We do offer a few select breeds of fertilized eggs.

MILLE FLEUR BELGIAN BEARDED D'UCCLES

This is our breeding pair of Mille Fleur Belgian Bearded D'uccles Desi and Lucy. They are true bantams, as their are no standards in this breed. They are very low to the ground. And their legs should be completely covered with feathers. Some call them boots. They have sweet personalities and they are pretty social. They will lay 150-200 eggs a year. They lay small white or cream tinted eggs. Some D'Uccle hens will go broody, but not all.

 OLD ENGLISH GAME BIRDS

The Old English Game bird was original breed for cock fighting. But once it was banned, they became more for show. The Old English game bird is a true bantam. They have clean legs. They lay around 40 small tinted eggs a year.

ASSORTED BEARDED SILKIES

My man Beefy and his ladies, he has a few that follow him around all the time. He is very loud and in charge. And he will fight you in a minute but only if you start it.

FRIZZLE COCHIN BANTAM

The Frizzle is a breed of chicken with characteristic curled or frizzled plumage. Frizzling is where the feathers of a bird begin to curl outward and upward. The frizzle gene can be seen in many breeds, such as the Silkie and the Cochin. The Frizzle is recognised as a distinct breed in a number of European countries and Australia. They are now considered a rare breed. You don't breed Frizzle to Frizzle tho....You breed them to Silkies, Cochins, Polish.

WHITE CRESTED BLUE POLISH

Polish are a very special and unique breed of chicken with their huge bouffant crest of feathers and v-shaped comb. They are usually tame but a bit of a scaredy cat because they can't really see. They tend to be loners or they stick to there own. They come in standard size or bantam size. This trio are standards.

Showgirls (1).jpg

SHOWGIRL ROOSTERS AND HENS

We are very excited to add showgirls. They are new this year. We have been able to add frizzle and silkies, and satins. We have had some of the cutest chicks.

peepe.jpg

INCUBATING EGGS/HATCHLINGS

We love to hatch out our own chicks. We are very lucky that we have hens that will go broody, but its very exciting to watch your eggs grow. And its very educational to see the embryo grow to a full size chick and hatch.

OUR SILKIES

So what is a Silkie, it is a breed named for its fluffy "fur" plumage. But a true silkie also have other traits to look for... They have black skin and bones, blue ears, and 5 toes. And they are to be one of the friendliest of the chickens so they are kept as pets. They only come in one size.

Fresh Eggs.jpg

FARM FRESH EGGS

We sell large to extra large brown eggs, they weigh around 55-63 grams. Our eggs are non gmo and non fertilized. They are also fed grain feed that we ferment. So they get the benefit of  fermenting that leads to better eggs, better hen health, and lower feed costs.

tolbunts.jpg

TOLBUNT POLISH

We love our  Tolbunt and Golden and Silver Crested Polish. They have the most unique look and personality. It is so fun watching the chicks hatch. they have so many different colors in them. Browns, Blacks and White.

OLD ENGLISH GAME BIRDS

Our little Old English game birds. We have a wide variety of colors. They may be small but they have big characters. Our first old english roo "the General" was the boss and he has continued to run the roost.

thegoats.jpg

SAANEN GOATS

These are our triplets minus one. We have the oldest and the youngest of a set of triplets and they are very close. They are also very friendly and loving. They have been with us since they were a month old and we have bottle feed them from the beginning. They are 6 months old and can be a handful sometimes.
